It's just another way of restricting your calorie intake but it often just creates cravings. There is a scientific explanation for this and I won't bother doing into it! It often means that once you are off the diet, you go back to old habits really easily and nothing is achieved. Learning to eat an overall healthy diet with occasional treats is far more sustainable.
